Post by OrionHaven't had much time to mess around with HL2 or Far Cry Mods in the
past few months. The last mod I probably played was Antlion Troopers,
the original version and perhaps Minerva:Metastasis. I downloaded and
played Lost Coast a couple of months ago. Found a way to stack boxes
and exit the playable area another way, and found out what things look
like behind the scenes. Kind of weird.
Went trolling for mods this weekend. Found 'The Island', 'Combine
Destiny', 'Dayhard', Exterminate, and more.
(1) 'Exterminate' is nice mindless fun, rack up the most points,
constantly trying to beat your personal best. I will keep it on my
machine for those times when I have just a few minutes, and want to
finish something quickly.
(2) 'The Island' - I'm glued to the wall of the cave, can't figure out
how to get anywhere. NG until I can find a way to play the game.
(3) 'Dayhard' - fun, amusing, more of a hack than a polished product,
even for a quick mod. It's fun though, and the action and the music
make it worth playing for a while. Especially for an HL2 & Far Cry
addict jonesing for the next add-on pack or game.
(4) 'Combine Destiny' - DOOM3 meets HL2. Extremely well done. Very
professional look and feel, excellent mood setting, nice tension. I
don't jump as high when the mutants leap out at me as I did when I
first played HL2/Ravenholm sequence. I almost miss the adrenaline
rush. A full game along the lines of 'Combine Destiny' would be worth
paying a few bucks for. My son was complaining, he was expecting new
weapons, but he's 16. I'm a tad bit older than that, and a good
quality mod with dark moody gameplay is uber-fine for me. > "Orion"

paying a few bucks for. My son was complaining, he was expecting new
weapons, but he's 16. I'm a tad bit older than that, and a good
quality mod with dark moody gameplay is uber-fine for me. > "Orion"
Haven't had much time to mess around with HL2 or Far Cry Mods in the
past few months.

> "Orion"
Haven't had much time to mess around with HL2 or Far Cry Mods in the
past few months.
Especially for an HL2 & Far Cry
addict jonesing for the next add-on pack or game.

how to get anywhere.
> "Orion"
Haven't had much time to mess around with HL2 or Far Cry Mods in the
past few months.

> "Orion"
Haven't had much time to mess around with HL2 or Far Cry Mods in the
past few months. The last mod I probably played was Antlion Troopers,
the original version and perhaps Minerva:Metastasis. I downloaded and
played Lost Coast a couple of months ago. Found a way to stack boxes
and exit the playable area another way, and found out what things look
like behind the scenes. Kind of weird.

past few months.
> "Orion"
